BUILD, a social venture headquartered in Northern California with offices in the Bay Area and Washington, DC, is a four-year business-focused college preparation program. BUILD provides real-world entrepreneurial experience that empowers youth from under-resourced communities to excel in education, lead in their communities, and succeed professionally. BUILD Metro DC, part of a full East Coast expansion, opened in November 2007. In 2009-2010, thanks to a partnership with DCPS, BUILD Metro DC currently serves close to 100 students, with 6 youth business teams operating in our Youth Business Incubator and over 80 9th grade students.
